Talents: Despite having no elemental abilities of her own, Natasha is very knowledgeable about the struggles of gaining control. She is also a good multi-tasker.
Other: She has a 15-year-old son named Maxwell.
Personality: Natasha is known amongst her students for having a firm but fair hand. She doesn't stand for any nonsense, and will let you know it. Misbehaving will get you into trouble around her, especially when elemental ability abuse comes into play. But she is also always around for anyone who needs a hug, and her office door is open for someone who's having a bad day and wants to talk. Advice is something she'll give readily to anyone who asks.
Towards other clans, Natasha has an "I'll be nice to you if you're nice to me" philosophy. Backtalking to her as an Aquarion will get the sharp side of her tongue, but if you can stay civil, she is more than happy to talk with you about anything and everything. She is a nurturing figure within her community, and can often be seen volunteering during clan festivities.
History: Natasha was born into a family with a long history of producing high-level elementalists, her great-great grandfather having earned the title of Grand Master during his lifetime. So when it became clear through high school she had no elemental abilities to speak of, it was a great disappointment to her family, particularly her father.
Her little brother Keegan, on the other hand, was a prodigy. By the age of thirteen his abilities had manifested, and he was raised to a Level Two Elementalist by his fifteenth birthday: early by anyone's standards, when most of his classmates were still learning to control their Level One abilities. He was the family's pride and joy, and the two siblings clashed often as Natasha was jealous of how well their parents treated Keegan while brushing her aside.
Naturally, when Keegan turned 18 he was accepted into the Keepers, and then the Knights when he hit 21. By the time he was 25, he was a Level Four Elementalist...a Master. One of the youngest in New York City's history. And Natasha was just...Natasha. She'd secured herself a job as an Elementalist teacher thanks to her family's background, but there were doubts she could do it when she had no abilities of her own. She worked hard every day to prove the doubters wrong, trying to make her family proud.
When she was 24, she met a man she liked and dated him. One year later she became pregnant with their son, but the man she'd dated turned and left upon learning so, insisting the baby wasn't his. Natasha kept the baby, and when he was born named him Maxwell.
When Maxwell was five years old, disaster struck the family. Keegan had been traveling abroad for the Knights, but on a trip to the Middle East, he went missing. Patrols searched for the missing Master for months on end, even years. Three years after his disappearance, Keegan was written off as dead. Their family never recovered from the loss, Natasha's parents grief-striken.
Today, Natasha is a single mom working hard at both her job and at raising Maxwell, who is in his rebellious teenager years. She keeps a positive outlook on things, though regrets how strained her relationship with Keegan was before his disappearance.

"If you'll turn to page 50 of your textbooks, we'll start reading from the top. Daniel, can you start us off?"
Natasha, or Ms Walker as the students referred to her, walked up and down the row of teenagers as the boy she'd named started reading from the Water-User's Beginner Guide, 15th Edition. Out of all the textbooks she'd tried over the years, this one was probably the best for the students since it summarized the drier bits nicely for them. It even had some small exercise tips every now and then, and funny anecdotes on what and what not to do. Like freeze someone else to metal, for those who wanted to delve into ice manipulation. She'd had to rescue one such student last year.
The students were set up in a circle around the edge of the room, leaving a wide space in the middle. This was for practicing. It was an Elemental Basics class after all, and everyone in this room belonged to the lucky group who could manipulate their given element...water.
Something she couldn't do, and as their teacher in a class where you had to be an Elementalist to enroll, she'd had to fight to protect her turf. She belonged here, no matter who thought otherwise. Her parents, expecting an Elementalist out of her, had helped her from an early age understand how to control what would eventually (supposedly) come to her naturally. And even if she'd never received those abilities, she knew far more about them then these youngsters.
The reading was over fifteen minutes later. Natasha turned to the class with a smile, closing the textbook in her hand. "I think that's enough for now. Who wants to go over the hand motions we practiced last week in front of the class." She chuckled as multiple hands shot up in the air.
Even if she had no abilities of her own, watching these kids was enough for her.
