How to Join
1. Register. One character per account, and please make your username your character's name. If you didn't, no sweat, just change your screen name in your profile to your character's name.
2. Read all the posts in the News & Rules board, including the Storyline subboard. They include important information about the Elementi universe that could help in your application.
3. Fill out a character application, and post it to the Pending Application subforum. If it's unfinished, mark it as [WIP] in the subject line and just remove that when you're ready. Feel free to chat in our cbox while your application is being processed.
4. Once you've been accepted, your character account will be sorted into it's proper clan. Don't forget to stop by the Welcome Hub and say hi! You can also post your character application in the Application board.
5. You can pick up as many characters as you like, but try to keep with an amount you can handle. Don't leave tons of characters inactive!
Helpful application hints
1. Take a peek around the forums to see what everyone else is doing.
2. Read the descriptions for each location of the world before choosing your character's nationality. Some clans are scarce in certain locations.
3. Older characters will naturally have more control over their element (if they are an elementalist) than younger characters. And not all characters even have to be elementalists.
4. Things that are rare in real life should also be rare in the forums. For example, if we start getting more mental disorders, child prodigies, orphans, etc than not, we will be choosier about which applications to accept. Applications who use these things solely as a gimmick without character development are less likely to make it through.
5. Throw your character through the Mary Sue Test.
6. No aliens, 'fifth element' characters, or things that won't fit into the Elementi universe.
7. Unaffiliated characters (PCs without a clan) must be okay'ed by a mod.
